Who are Gilbert and Sullivan anyway?
Okay, but what do you do and what can I do?
- Each year, we put on G&S, musical theatre, and revue-style shows, not to mention fun social and community events. You can get involved in practically any aspect of theatre, from being on stage, singing, dancing and acting your heart out, to painting scenery or helping with costumes and make-up. We plan to run workshops that will be lots of fun, and social events such as open-mic nights, movies, Christmas carolling… and of course we’d love to hear your ideas, too. The possibilities are endless with G&S UBC!

That sounds great! How can I become a member?
- Email us at info (at) gsubc (dot) com and we’ll get you on the handy mailing list.
- The first time you come to an event or rehearsal, we’ll make you an official member for the season: this means you’ll enjoy ticket benefits and free attendance to all our social events, plus some special backstage privileges that we’ll keep a surprise for now! Our membership fee is $10.
Do I have to be a member to audition?
- Nope! We do require you to sign up (at your first rehearsal) after you’ve accepted your role or offer of involvement in one of our shows, however, or you won’t be able to participate and that would make us sad. : (
